The GPs at North Ryde Medical Centre have a mixed-billing policy.

  • Bulk-billing is available for Children <16yrs age and Commonwealth Pensioner/DVA/Health Card Card holders for appointments Mon-Fri 8am-4:45pm (gap fees apply at other times: Mon-Fri 5-6pm, and Saturday/Sunday).

  • Nurse appointments are Bulk-billed (eg. Flu vax).

  • Gap fees apply for all other non-concession patients.

SMS number change (AutoMed)

Please note that the phone number from which our practice’s SMS messages are sent has changed to: +61 437 826 690   Saving this new number on your phone may help you to ensure any SMS you receive has been legitimately sent by the practice.   This is due to a change in the SMS system used by our integrated service provider AutoMed.   We are also eagerly awaiting a new phone app update from AutoMed which will allow improved functionality as well as improved in-app messaging to patients in the next few months!

Flu vaccination 2024

Both Government-funded (free) and Private Influenza vaccines are in stock. Appointments are available online, or by calling Reception. Influenza vaccination can be given at the same time as COVID-19 booster vaccination. The following people are eligible for a FREE Government-funded influenza vaccination: Age 65 years and over (high-dose vaccine) All Children aged 6 months to less than 5 years  Pregnant women (influenza vaccine can be given at any stage of pregnancy) All individuals aged 5 years and over with medical risk conditions, namely: cardiac disease, including cyanotic congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure chronic respiratory conditions, including suppurative lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and severe asthma other chronic illnesses requiring regular medical follow up or hospitalisation in the previous year, including diabetes mellitus, chronic metabolic diseases, chronic renal failure, and haemoglobinopathies chronic neurological conditions that impact on respiratory function, including multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, and seizure disorders impaired immunity, including HIV, malignancy and chronic steroid use children aged 6 months to 10 years on long term aspirin therapy All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over Otherwise, private flu vaccines ($20 vaccine cost) are for anyone who does not qualify for the free vaccine criteria above. (If you do NOT have a valid Medicare card, a $40 total fee applies – $20 vaccine cost plus $20 consult fee). Please call and request a “Flu vax appointment”.
